This is where confidence begins to bloom.
The Intermediate Division is a pivotal stage in a learner’s educational journey to deepen their understanding, develop autonomy, and begin to shape their aspirations for their future success. Our goal is to foster curiosity, responsibility, resilience, and confidence through a structured and supportive environment that allows for empowering and meaningful engagements.
RHHS Intermediate Division
The Intermediate Division serves learners in Grades 6 through 9, building on the foundations established in the Elementary Division within a structured and student-centered environment. Through the Lebanese National Curriculum and the American Program, the division offers rigorous and coherent academic pathways aligned with national and international standards, while remaining responsive to learners’ diverse needs and aspirations. This stage represents a pivotal phase in each learner’s academic and personal journey. We are dedicated to developing responsible, independent, and reflective individuals who embody curiosity, critical thinking, collaboration, and respect within a safe and inclusive community. Teaching and learning are anchored in

an inquiry-based approach, enriched by differentiated instruction and the purposeful integration of digital tools. Learners engage in meaningful experiences that strengthen core competencies and promote sustained academic growth. The Lebanese Program prepares learners for the official Lebanese Brevet examination, while the French track offers DELF certification in French. Learners in the English track may also pursue DELF certification in French as a Foreign Language (FLE), further strengthening multilingual proficiency. Aligned with national and international expectations, we equip learners with essential 21st-century competencies, including critical thinking, collaboration, autonomy, and digital literacy, preparing them for success in an evolving global context. Learning is further enriched through project-based and interdisciplinary approaches, supported by continuous, competency-based assessment. Ongoing academic guidance and counseling ensure consistency, progress, and a strong focus on learner wellbeing. A structured orientation and guidance process enables learners to make informed decisions regarding their future pathways. Upon completion of Grade 9, learners may pursue the Lebanese Secondary Program, the American High School Program, the French Baccalaureate, or the International Baccalaureate (IB), as well as technical and vocational pathways in specialized institutes, in alignment with their interests, strengths, and aspirations. Beyond the classroom, a dynamic co-curricular program including sports, arts, Educational Technology, Robotics, and a wide range of student-led clubs provides meaningful opportunities for learners to develop leadership, creativity, teamwork, and a strong sense of belonging. The Division is distinguished by a culture of high expectations, strengthened through purposeful and collaborative partnerships with parents. Clear communication and shared responsibility foster an environment of trust, ensuring that every learner is supported in achieving academic excellence and personal growth.
